Textbooks play an important role in shaping the minds of learners. The Curriculum department at PHS has taken a step forward this year and has added International English, Comprehension Skills and NCERT books as reference books so students can build their depth in the topics.
Class 6,7,8 Social Studies – By using both NCERT and statebooks for Social Studies, learners will be introduced to ancient culture and history, political system and geographical features of various places across the state, country and the world. This exposure to information helps the students to learn the subject in a much better manner.
Class 6,7,8 Science – By using both NCERT and statebooks for Science, learners will be able to understand the basic concepts better and be exposed to more examples.
Class 6,7,8, English – These days we observe in most of the competitive exams passages are given in which students’ reading comprehension skills are tested.. Most of the students’ opinion is that they can easily do these comprehension passages. As easy as it seems, most students end up losing marks in these passages.. The curriculum department at PHS understands the important of building a 21st century learner’s skills in comprehension and we are all geared to work on improving our skills.
We are also excited about the new learning book – Global English as Second Language. This will definitely help all the students to improve their talent in different aspects of English.
A positive response is shown by kids towards this change as it benefits them by providing detailed information and building depth Addition of the new books will become a booster to the minds of learners at Presidency High School. The new innovation helps the students to compete in this tough world and build up their minds to accomplish their goals.
