Wow, Lots of food in a BIG Triangle!
“What is a Healthy diet? Which food group do we need to consume the least? What are the food items rich in proteins? What happens if we don’t consume enough carbs? How useful are the nutrients from fruits?”
Kids from class 3 and 5 asked these questions to their parents and fellow students at the school campus in an event conducted on 29th July. They explained how a healthy diet should be and what needs to be in it, with the help of a food pyramid arranged in our campus. They further elaborated on the health benefits, deficiency effects and nutrition values of food items in each food group.
It was an awareness session too for all the kids in PHS and their parents to understand the importance of taking food in a balanced way, NOT too much, NOT too less!
Big cheers to the students of class 3 and 5 for putting lot of efforts in collecting and segregating the food items, and arranging them according to the food groups in the food triangle within a short span of 4 days. The event closed with a thought provoking question and answer session between parents and kids.
