Parents’ Education Day – Lower Secondary

First parents’ education day of the year for 6, 7 and 8 grades was conducted at our campus on 24th June.  The event was aimed at creating awareness about the new changes in curriculum among the parents and help them in best practices to guide their child with academics.

The new curriculum is apt to nurture and develop the children’s cognitive skills as the syllabi of science subjects are integrated along with English and Social. The projects for the formative assessments are also integrated to enhance depth of learning. A dynamic step is that we have included SMILE classes into our curriculum, which emphasize on improving social, emotional and leadership skills. A weekly ‘Swachh Bharath’ class is also included, where students clean the school premises (sweeping and mopping) making them more responsible and understand ‘dignity of labor’ from a very young age.

Glimpse of latest curriculum changes:

  1. Integrated learning of Science and English
  2. Projects for Formative Assessments
  3. SMILE Class
  4. Weekly Swachh Bharath hour

Academic Coordinator, Mr. Khan informed the parents that he will be available to assist with all academic queries of parents making children reach great heights and a high standard. Our principal Mrs. Shamantha ma’am concluded the meeting with few thought provoking suggestions in habituating nutritious diet. “A sound mind is in a sound body”, she explained. The event closed with a questionnaire and feedback session between parents and teachers.

A great start to the year!

The reason why we choose Presidency school is that it has the best curriculum and is implemented in ways other school fail to. “My child feels very happy and is very enthusiastic to attend the school.

We were looking for a school with a higher teacher student ratio. The curriculum is very well structured, we are impressed with tracking the progress of pupils everyday.
