Our 2017 passout student, Manogna Bajne led Nizamabad handball team to victory in the final of District level tournament, ‘3rd Talent Hunt – 2017’ held in Hanamkonda, Warangal on 25th April. She played a crucial role as a captain and goal keeper of the team.
Manogna saved many goals for the team. She restricted the opposition team to hit goals through her quick movements in front of the post. With the contributions from Manogna, Nizamabad team were able to finish the final match with a heroic 10 – 2 goals win against Komaram Bheem team. Being outstanding is not a new feat for Manogna, she has been a magnificent player throughout – she also won a gold medal in the under-17 ‘Handball National Tournament’ held at Hyderabad in 2015-16, representing our state.
Also in the boys team, Sai Pranay (X Kangaroos), Omer Abdullah, Yash (IX Camels), Mani Krishna (VIII- Newtons), Shaik Shah (VIII Darwins), Abdul Nayeem Talha (VIII Einsteins) and Obaidullah Hassan, Kushaal Verma (VII Flamingos) have made good contributions to get their team into semis.
“Manogna is a key player in the game and she is like a wall in the role of goalkeeper”, Physical Education teachers praised. Our Principal, teachers and students congratulated Manogna on her success and wished her reach great heights in future. Hope the students may take an inspiration from the journey of Manogna!
