Presidency High School takes a step towards greenery! As we all know that Haritha Haaram was formally launched by the Chief Minister of Telangana Sri Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao on 5th July 2015. It is a flagship programme of Telangana government to increase the present 24% tree cover to 333%.
Students of Class 9 participated in Haritha Haaram by planting the saplings at the premises of the school on 15th July 2017. Presidency High School is participating and encouraging children in the campaign so that all the school children must learn to save and grow trees every year. Saplings were planted by each and every student under their teachers’ guidance.
“I felt very happy on planting many saplings today” said Sanjana, Class 9 student. Pranav said, “I feel very proud and responsible to be a part of Haritha Haaram”. Akshaya said,” I felt really proud to be a part of Haritha Haaram conducting the afforestation campaign at our school”. Friends! Let’s be a part of Haritha Haaram as a joyful duty of everyone.
