Presidency School along with a few other organizations in NZB conducted an Inter-company cricket league to give all their employees a chance to break free from their routines. Our team participated in the TiE network inter-organization cricket tournament on July 9th 2017.
In the first match between Presidency High School and Ambrish Chandrana & Co., team Presidency won the toss and chose to bat. Top order couldn’t get more runs as there was a good piece of bowling from team ACC. However in the lower order, Anand and Shashank rotated the strike well and contributed for a decent total of 84. Team ACC couldn’t manage to chase the target of 85 and lost by 15 runs as the bowling attack of Presidency was terrific.
Employees of the four organizations – Presidency High School, Gajanan Industries, Kakatiya Sandbox and Ambrish Chandrana & Co. participated in the tournament held at Haricharan Marwadi School grounds.
Team Presidency was able to reach finals and stood as runners in a nail-biting match against Gajanan Industries. “We played with lot of excitement and joy! We got to know our talent in cricket” said Mr. Shashank, Facilities manager.
“Although we are lost in finals we hope that the sport helped a lot to our staff in getting a break from their daily routine and have a productive weekend”, said Mr. Krupa, Senior manager. “I really had a good experience because it was something different which I never tried before”, said Sravan Sir, Teacher. We hope our employees had a great time during the tournament and we wish them good luck in future events as well.
