Our school is known for coming up with unique ideas and concepts. We lived up to this reputation with the App Development Fair, which we recently conducted at our campus, to enhance our logical and computational skills.
The fair showcased all the educational apps that children made, and it was a great opportunity for parents and teachers to see the wonders that were exhibited. Our techno kids beautifully showed how a mobile phone, when used right, can make one wealthy. After all, “An investment in the knowledge creates most interest.”
All children put their best efforts in making the fair a success and share their knowledge about apps. It was indeed a pleasant sight to see everyone so involved and excited through the fair.
So, how was everyone able to create such superb apps? It was thanks to a software program named MIT App Inventor 2, which is used during app development classes. The classes were held twice a week for students in different groups.
Upon attending the fair, one of our pre-primary teachers rejoiced, “It was a great effort put by children. It helped me become aware of different apps.”
Parents were just as enthusiastic. Dr. Ananth Rao Kulkarni said, “The App Development Fair was really useful in getting to know many things in the world of technology.”
It is estimated that by the year 2020, 6.8 billion people across the world will use Android smartphones. We hope our students end up making apps that they will use. And why not? “The science of today is the technology of tomorrow,” and all of us are working towards making a mark in the future.
It is safe to say that we ended our academic year very well. We hope we do bigger, better things next year!
