Long workhours and household chores keep us so busy that we forget about having fun altogether. In fact, on some days, we don’t even have time to sit down and relax! We at Presidency High School decided to give the adults a much-needed break from their schedules by organizing a Parents Fun Evening for the parents of class I and II children.
The event revolved around the theme: Please, Thank You, and Sorry along with family, friends, sharing, and caring. So, it was genuinely a wholesome family event that nurtured the bonds that hold us together. Anabia and Parnika of Class V hosted the event and they did a wonderful job!
Proceedings kicked off with a melodious song by our tiny tots from class II – Neem. After this, a few children spoke about family and friends. Even parents came forward to express their emotions and share what they were feeling. The entire event was filled with such heartfelt talks and performances that delighted each and every parent. When the dancing started, even the parents couldn’t stop themselves! It was indeed a pleasing sight to see them forget about their routine and just have some fun. Our Principal also took the stage and spoke about how important it is for children and parents to spend quality time with each other. At least an hour a day with children ensures closeness and emotional attachment.
What made the event even more fun was Journal Recital! Children shared what they wrote in their journals and some of these bits were simply breath-taking.
Parents indeed had a fun time and we are so glad that the event was such a big success. Teachers and students came together beautifully to make this possible and we are proud of everyone.
