“Always make a total effort, even when the odds are against you,” said Arnold Palmer, the famous American professional golfer who is regarded as one of the greatest and most charismatic players in the history of the sport. As the quote tells we should always put our maximum efforts even if there is someone really tough against us.
Our annual sports event started on 17th July 2019 with 10th class students participating in the Opening Ceremony. Students of class 10 enjoyed this event very much and one of the students Manogna of Newtons said, “This was a great experience to me. This was also a sad thing to me because I couldn’t participate in most of the games due to the injury which I got to my leg. Hope I would get a chance in the finals. Well! I am still very happy to be part of the event and the school.”
Our PETs Srinivas sir and Laxman sir were very much happy about the sporting event. “The way the event is conducted in Presidency is something different which I really appreciate,” said Laxman sir.
The opening game played was handball and it was between Emerald and Amber with Emerald entering the second round. Students were very much excited about participation with total involvement and discipline rather than winning. I proudly say that our students know how to treat success and failure at the same wavelength.
Srinivas sir proudly exclaimed, “Boys at Presidency have tremendous potential. They are exceptional at individual talent along with teamwork.”
This was just the opening ceremony of Quidditch and more interesting events are going to be held soon. All the students are very much excited to perform their level best and hope this year will be with great joy and enjoyment.
