Since June 2016 students at Presidency have been given time to start the day enjoying their favourite book and to load up on the essential nutrients to help them grow in what’s become known as Banana Day!
One Tuesday a month Presidency students come armed to school with their favourite book and a banana. The initiative was introduced to ensure every student dedicates time during the week to appreciate and understand the joy of literature. Their reading journey starts in the morning and after devouring several chapters of their favourite book they then devour a banana!
Why a banana? Filled with the vitamins and minerals essential for growth and excellent sources of energy, these yellow skinned fruits are capsules of brain power – proven to boost your childs concentration and school work.
So don’t just let your kids go bananas at school – let them go bananas at home!
