Presidency has teamed up with Hope Collaborative, an American based organization that empowers kids to develop skills necessary to tackle conflict resolution and leadership. Students are taken through a series of leadership and development workshops run by PHS staff. Workshops have used games, team building challenges and creative journals to learn.
The students own personal stories are discussed during the session to help build the necessary skills to tackle conflict. Workshop leader Martin Langford said, “I’m amazed by the quality and enthusiasm the students are showing”, “They are so mature for their age and have already shown the ability to help prevent and lead others in managing conflict”.
The course will finish after 12 weekly workshops, with the students producing videos in the final weeks which will be posted online to help others manage conflict and resolution.
