Presidency pride themselves on success, and an area where the school excels is at sport – and one sport in particular.
Presidency High School’s handball team continues to go from strength to strength. There has been consecutive success in state and district tournaments, and some students have gone onto play for the state and district sides.
The Presidency team finished 1st in the under 14 tournament, and 2nd at a recent one day tournament. Team captain Srihitha Gould finds handball more interesting than other sports, as it improves her energetic skills and self confidence levels. She has reviewed her team’s performance.
“Our team played very well, especially in the nationals held in Chattisgarh where our team kept their concentration and put in great effort”. Srihitha said that “There is good encouragement and coordination in the team, if a team mate does a mistake there is no shouting and we all help them do better”.
“Rishitha and Srindhi played really well, and the handball team is well drilled by Srinivas Sir” Srihitha thinks that, “Those who attended the Nizamabad academy work very hard, we have learnt many new skills which are trained by Srinivas Sir and he gives good encouragement”.
