The Tiranga was hoisted at 8.30am to a full school assembly, cheering and shouts of joy echoed around the grounds at Presidency High Schools Republic Day celebrations.
The raising of the flag set off a full morning of celebrations. The honour of hoisting the tiranga was given to A Pavan Sai and Saivarun. Both students had made extra efforts in their studies and behaviour and were chosen out of the whole school to raise the flag.
It was a half day for the students and staff, for the rest of the morning children sat and ate snacks outside cheering and applauding the winners of this year’s achievements. Team awards, science awards and certificates from the sports day winners were all presented throughout the morning.
The mile high stack of certificates and a table lined with trophies helped showed all the success the students had achieved. But the biggest cheer of the morning was saved for the winners of the house competition, which this year went to Sapphire!
Here are some photos from what was a patriotic morning at Presidency High School.
