As part of the new English primary curriculum at Presidency, the students of Class 4 have been learning about the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. They learnt about the daily lives of the people who lived thousands of years ago in the area that is now northern India. They did this through reading, discussions and writing.
Students imagined that they lived there and then created their own family and story based on what they had learnt. The creativity of the students is inspiring. They all came up with different ideas, problems and solutions and incorporated their own experiences and interests into their writing.
At the end of the topic they produced fantastic books in which they wrote and illustrated their stories. This is a picture of Toucans class holding their books. Kingfishers and Hummingbirds also produced excellent books.
