Presidency believes in the power of continuous learning, not just for students but also for the teachers and all the staff that works at Presidency. We have a new department – Teacher PD (Professional Development) team that has worked hard during the summer break to put together a wonderful learning experience for the teachers and all the staff at Presidency. The last 10 days there has been a learning fever at Presidency on a wide range of topics – Classroom Management to Self Awareness, Instructional Strategies to Understanding learners.
We have collaborated with various experts from different fields – Education and Child Development, Management Consultants etc.
Ms. Rubina Majid, who also happens to be our advisor has done workshops on Pedagogy, Curriculum Framework, Lesson Planning, Classroom Management Strategies and English Language Skills.
Ms. Rahmath, Professional children counselor conducted workshops on Understanding emotional needs of a child, Anger management in class, Classroom behavior management problem, Discipline strategies and Dealing with Bullying behavior.
Mr. Chand and Mr. Harish from HUM Consulting conducted workshops on Collaboration and Teamwork and other soft skills.
Internally we had some of the coordinators take workshops related to School Correction Policy, Remedial Learning, Using Tech in daily work (like Google Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Maps etc.), Building closer bonds with children, Classroom routines & setup.
Not just teachers, we did induction for our Non Academic staff giving them all the tools necessary to serve our parents at the best. Some of the topics covered during the induction were Image Management, Customer service, Task management, Tech tools etc.
