Imagine you are a parent and don’t know what happens at the school. What you know is just that your kid goes to school and comes back with some homework, brings some examination schedule for some sort of assessments, and finally, at the end of the academic year you are called and given the progress card of your kid. It sounds absurd. Doesn’t it?
We at Presidency believe that parents should know about each and everything is done by the school for its students. A positive parent-teacher relationship contributes a lot to their child’s academic success.
With this motto, PHS has conducted Parents’ Curriculum Evening for class 8, 9 and 10 on 24 July 2018.
The curriculum evening started with the introduction of the PHS team (staff) and covered other topics like curriculum, events, field trips, integrated project work, games and sports, etc. The main objective of this event is to spread awareness among parents about teaching methodologies, school assessments, events being conducted at Presidency, homework policy, and afterschool activities.
At the end of the event, parents had an opportunity to talk and discuss with various teachers about their children’s participation and performance in the class.
“It is a helpful event and I got to know about school’s teaching methodologies.” said one of the parents.
Other parent said, “The session was very good and interaction with teachers was also nice.”
“The session was very nice and I also got to know my child’s participation in the class.” added another parent.
We hope parents had a good time interacting with teachers.
