Chinni Krishna Garu Alias Gangaram is the reformer farmer who has conducted many experiments in order to find out new and healthy ways to perform agricultural activities. He is an organic farmer who doesn’t use any kind of chemical fertilizers for the cultivation of crops.
Chinni Krishna Garu was born in a farmer family. Since his childhood, he was an organic farmer, but naturally like everyone he too got attracted to chemical fertilizers. Later after some years, he discovered that these fertilizers have a great chance to kill us. The next minute he threw all the fertilizers he had and again converted himself into an organic farmer.
Despite the fact that Chinni Krishna Garu didn’t study much, he invented many new things in the field of cultivation. He invented new methods for destroying insects which harm crops, selecting proper seeds by using hen’s egg, salt and many more methods with a simple logic which we don’t know until now. With his experiments with paddy seeds he invented a new variety called “ Chinni Krishna”.
Chinni Krishna Garu faced many failures, challenges and at last, proved that he is a successful farmer. He said, “Truth, forgiveness, hardworking, generosity, and helpfulness made him stand at this position” and continued, “I’ve faced many problems with the landlords in my village. They were feeling jealous due to my success. The shocking news is that Naxals helped me when I was in problems as they knew that I was doing some good work for the society.”
As an organic farmer, he follows a method of ZBNF( Zero Budget Natural Farming). Chinni Krishna Garu is a person who knows the importance of organic farming and is curious to educate the future of India about the importance of natural farming.
He travelled to many places like Punjab, Kerala, and Bangalore and gathered much information and many ideas. He even visited the United States also. Scientists of ICRISAT invite him to their conferences.
At last, we can conclude that a Chinni Krishna Garu is a simple farmer who has never given up and has always tried to bring a revolution in agricultural practices to provide healthy grains to the common man.
