Kids were overwhelmed and enjoyed taking part in the ‘Food Pyramid Talk’ event. Nutritious and hygienic food always keeps us healthy, fit and fine. A healthy plate contains a balanced amount of fats, proteins, carbohydrates and other nutrients.
As part of the curriculum on Health and Nutrition in class 3, we have conducted this event to further deepen the learning in students. Children brought food items and categorised them into Fats, Proteins, Dairy, Fruits, Vegetables, Carbohydrates and displayed them in a pyramid format.
Parents were glad to hear songs and speeches given by our children on the benefits of taking various food products. One of the parents expressed that it was a wonderful opportunity for parents and their child to know the benefits of taking healthy food and avoid junk.
Food pyramid sets a good example of a healthy diet. It made our kids realize the disadvantages of taking unhealthy food and inculcate the habit of taking well-nourished food.
