Understanding Meteorogical Instruments on Field!

The weather differs from day-to-day.  To know about the weather and its changes practically, the students of Class 7 were taken on a field trip to the Meteorological Department, Nizamabad, on Wednesday, the 20th November 2019.

Vanaja teacher expressed that the main purpose of the field trip was to make the students know about the windmill, the direction in which the wind blows, the rain gauge, how the rain levels are measured, and presentation of the weather report.  “Students were very interested to know about the above things especially about how to measure the rain. They asked some good questions. They asked about the human hair used to measure the rain and humidity and made some handy notes for their reference,” she added gleamingly.

Vishal of Class 7 Hummingbirds said, “By going there we learnt many things which we didn’t know earlier like how the temperature and rainfall are calculated.  There are many things like a manual rain gauge, automatic rain gauge, wind wane anemometer, etc, which I enjoyed learning practically about.”

Students were received very cordially by the supervisors over there. They explained everything to them very patiently.

It was a good and pleasant field trip. Students were really interested and excited to clarify their queries about the atmospheric changes.  They gained knowledge about measuring rain and temperature changes and also about the ways the wind blows. This practical approach helped them understand clearly the complicated concepts related to weather.  We hope many more such field trips in the future.

The reason why we choose Presidency school is that it has the best curriculum and is implemented in ways other school fail to. “My child feels very happy and is very enthusiastic to attend the school.

We were looking for a school with a higher teacher student ratio. The curriculum is very well structured, we are impressed with tracking the progress of pupils everyday.
