Raj Bhimidi Reddy, a student of Grade 7, made the school proud by becoming a published author at such a young age! Raj’s fictional work ‘The Great Invention’ has been featured in ‘The Fantasy of Life’, an anthology of stories written by child authors, published by Scholastic under the ‘Writers Academy Programme’.
Scholastic Writers Academy identifies talented writers across the country and nurtures them through a 10-day mentorship programme where literary experts hone their skills and help them get published. Raj was selected for this programme. The challenge was to write a realistic story in a short duration of time. Raj’s hard work and diligence paid off, and his short story impressed his mentors. He created a beautiful short realistic science fiction story that portrays the character of a Brazilian Zoologist in the Amazon rainforest, who wants to create a device that can translate the language of animals. The writing skills of Raj must be highly appreciated for the details he presented in the story. Literally, we can visualize the scenes in our minds as we read through the book. Raj Bhimidi’s engaging writing style and realistic narration make the story a must-read. Presidency High School congratulates Raj for this great achievement!
