Presidency High School respects the amount of effort and work that goes into being a parent. At the same time, it strongly believes that much like children, all parents need a break from their daily routine. They deserve to have a lot of fun and forget about their chores every once in a while. To facilitate that, we conduct the Parents Fun Evening every year with different themes for different classes.
For class IV this year, the event revolved around the theme Different Cultures Across The World to celebrate unity in diversity. Each country is recognized based on its culture and culture is determined by multiple factors such as attire, food habits, language, and tradition. All these put together define a country and we wanted to focus exactly on this. All children set up beautiful performances for parents and everyone watching was enthralled throughout the evening.
Every student did marvelously in conducting the event and taking care of everything. Lasya and Raj hosted the event, which started with a warm welcome and an introduction. After this, the performances started and almost everyone was glued to their seats. The first group of children showcased the culture of Mexico by singing in Spanish. They also gave presentations on Mexican food, festivals, places, etc. Parents listened carefully and did extremely well in the interactive quiz that was later conducted. The winners were honored with prizes. The other groups showcased cultures of Japan, France, Kenya, Egypt, and India in the same fashion. Dance, song, and cheer filled the air that evening.
“I liked India song because all cultures of our country came together,” shared a parent. Another parent was just as enthusiastic. “Very nice program. Wonderful experience.”
We are extremely happy that everyone who attended the event went back with a big smile on their face and joy in their hearts. We hope to keep conducting many such events.
