Long before Presidency was founded, its founder, Mrs. Shamantha Nalla, found joy in helping others learn. As a student, she was often entrusted by her teachers with responsibilities like correcting notebooks and guiding classmates; small moments that nurtured her love for teaching and her deep connection with children.
In 1995, that passion became Presidency: a preschool with just 11 children. Her vision was simple yet enduring: to create a school where every child would be known personally, encouraged with care and given the confidence to discover their potential.
Over the years, that small preschool has grown into a thriving educational institution, but the philosophy that inspired its beginnings continues to guide Presidency today.

At Presidency, we continue to believe that every child deserves to be known, encouraged and given the opportunity to grow. As the school has grown, that belief has remained at the heart of who we are.
Over the years, our understanding of what good education requires has continued to evolve. We have invested deeply in teacher development, stronger classroom practice, meaningful student experiences and closer partnerships with parents. We have also learned that building a good school requires us to keep asking ourselves what is working, what children need now and what we need to do better.
As we look ahead, I want Presidency to remain deeply rooted in its values while continuing to learn and evolve. Education will keep changing, and we must have the humility to keep learning, the courage to question our assumptions and the discipline to adopt what genuinely benefits children.
Ultimately, our vision is to build a community where children grow to be curious, confident and compassionate; teachers care deeply and continue to learn; and parents grow and learn alongside their children.
Our approach to education begins with one simple belief: children need both strong roots and wide wings.
The strong roots are our commitment to academic excellence. We believe that even in the age of AI, strong fundamentals, discipline and the ability to work hard will always matter.
The wide wings come from sports, the arts, leadership opportunities and real-world experiences that help children discover their strengths and build confidence.
Beyond that, we have intentionally designed a number of signature learning experiences that have become part of the Presidency journey.
These experiences are designed to broaden perspectives, connect learning with the real world and help children discover new possibilities.
How children learn is just as important to us as what they learn. We believe children learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process. That is why collaborative learning is embedded into our everyday classrooms. Students work in pairs and small groups, discuss ideas, solve problems together and learn from one another — not just during activity periods, but as part of everyday lessons.
We also introduce social-emotional learning from the preschool years, because learning is not only about building knowledge; it is also about understanding yourself, working with others and developing empathy.
We are equally intentional about the environments we create. Our learning spaces are not designed simply to look impressive; they are designed to invite curiosity and connection. Flexible classrooms, natural materials, green spaces, trees and open areas encourage children to move, explore and build a genuine connection with the world around them.
