The children were really excited in the morning and felt the trip as very useful in the evening when they returned back. They visited FCI, located in Dichpally to gain more knowledge regarding the procurement section and protection section of FCI.
“Students grasped a lot of knowledge about food grains and the process to store them safely in warehouses. It was an interesting field trip not only for students but also for teachers because we get more knowledge by seeing the processes in a practical way. Students and teachers both felt it be useful.” said Pavan sir, a social teacher who went with the class 10.
“FCI was established in the year 1960 after passing the FCI Act. It is really a great organization which provides food for the poor during a famine. I am very happy to know the details of the FCI. This field trip helps us in our coming classes of social because it is related to our subject. I am familiar with procurement and protection section now!” opined Suzanne on FCI.
“One of the important things of this helpful organization is civil supplies. It procures food grains from farmers and supplies these grains to poor people through the Public Distribution System. I even got to know some of the new chemicals which are used to preserve grains.” felt Ketan.
Many of the pupils think that the trip was worth visiting. Every teacher was happy due to the behaviour of the students. Students are quite thankful to their teachers, management and also to FCI for giving them an opportunity to visit their godowns.
